Otoharo!
I really couldn't find a good title for thsi. I found a new way of doing music today. Yesterday, I looked through the music book which has the pieces I used to play when I performed. I began noticing details I have never paid much attention to before. I have felt there awere certain rules to writing music, and I stayed within thiese. Well, lo and behold, there are no rules! I saw that one could change the clef sign for a measure, change the meter for a measure or more, change the key, it looks like no rules at all. The sky is the limit!
To bring this down to practicality for me, i studied closer the Straus Waltz I used to play, The Blue Danube. It is actually made up of five or six complete waltzes. I decided to try this one out. So I picked out six waltzes I have written. (I write only the melody in the right hand, one note at a time. And the accompaniment is one note at a time of the chord for the measure.) To combine these called for full scale performance stuff. i spent my whole day doing this. I was in hog's heaven! I never have had so much fun in my life. It's like the door to the Universe has opened up for me! I have known for years that writing music is my thing. But it has seemed so cut and dried. Not now! All limits are gone! I have nearly a thousand melodies at hand. How many now can be combined for whole new manuscrips. Gee Whiz. I don't even want to stop to go to bed. I am on a roll! Elderly has gone out the door!
