I don't have any answers.
I do think your concern is a valid one (and that's an understatement).
Just random thoughts, to be sure....
We need responsible leadership. Much more of the electorate needs to go out and vote.
You know how few people exercise their franchise to vote. I think people will wait until
conditions become insufferable, only then will they go out and vote.
Again, I have no answers...maybe just observations.
Re the shootings, etc....my Australian correspondent has told me she does not want to
come here...because it is too dangerous....
We, as people, feel separate from one another--not realizing what effects one of us,
effects the whole (all of us). Because of this belief in separaton, we feel alienated from one another and this in turn, breeds all kinds of negativity.
Responsible parenting, personal responsibility too has taken quite a long holiday.
So many social ills result.
Another thought (not original with me) -- if one wants to change the world, change oneself.
Think if we did that, even in small numbers, what changes would be wrought!
