after a 16 month experience with severe colon cancer, beloved Judy Myers of washington state, u.s.a. is now passing through her final days, final hours. judy has lost most of her colon and is now suffering with organ failure. for months now, there have been so many tumors that they've been growing outside of her body. doctors have done the best they could to cut them away, but there are so many tumors that were they to remove every single one, she would simply bleed to death (as there would not be enough skin to cover her wounds).
in the past few days, she has been in terrible pain and is less coherent than ever before due to a large increase in morphine.
she is VERY open to receiving healing in any form. she has proven herself to be among the strongest of human beings in the past 16 months, having spent most of this time in the hospital. not a week has passed that she has not had to return for some type of treatment. through all of it she has maintained a sense of humor and been a source of inspiration to so many.
judy promised her family she would survive until february of 2003 to see her grandchildren, nieces and nephews through some very special new beginnings in their lives. yesterday after a very devastating 24 hours of pain, she woke and was quite bitter and for the first time said, "i give up. i can't go any further."
judy is my mother's best friend of many years. judy has always been a compassionate teacher and guardian to many underpriveleged in the community. even during the last few months as she could hardly get around, she continued to do charity work.
if you, or anyone who reads this would care to extend some liGht to her, i would be grateful if you would "love inward -yourself" some special way.
if you've never been deathly ill before, please know that to be "in the flow of prayer" when incapacitated is a most gorgeous experience. as weak as judy is, she will clearly recognize and embrace any being who visits her. it's my hope to offer a feather-bed of peace to ease her transition. though miracles are quite natural experiences also. the outcome will be perfect, we just wish for her to have the liGht of clarity available in divine peace as she's been emotionally drowning in this more recently.
