The Hoboken Cafe 

So Dave Lindenbaum is having his CD release party tonight at Rodeo/Ristra. I got his CD last night and if you have not heard him, I put an MP3 of one of his songs on the front page of the site. Yes, if you haven't seen this guy perform in-person, see him! He is quite the animated performer....a very talented guy....and cute too!

Just joined Hoboken Cafe today, and I saw the message. First off, kick ass sight. Secondly, thank you for all who attended the CD release party. We have been asked to play there once a month, but I was curious on some feedback. Would you guys come is the first question, and secondly, did you like the band backing me up. We are always interested inplaying cover songs that people like (as well as my stuff), so what would be some covers you would like to hear next time.

Again, we appreciate all the support, and within the next few months hope to be playing much more.

You know, I still have not met you, but I've seen you perform a few times! You're very entertaining!

I was pleasantly surprised that you knew so much 80's stuff (the decade that I was a partier :) ), but I thought the instrument Mics should have been turned down & your Mic up b/c you were kind of hard to understand.....unless, you were just drunk...LOL. Usually, at Open Mic night, it's good.

I think you could develop a good following by playing weekly at Rista. You are good alone & it's nice to have a band, as well. Maybe, go at it alone and ask the band to stand by/hang out for certain songs?

The party was great. I have never seen the place so packed. I will go if you are there again and I also hope you will still attend the Tuesday night Artkore events.

I actually prefer original music to cover songs so I really don't have a suggestion for a cover song to play.
