What do people think of Avril Lavigne. I'm getting mixed responses. Some people say she's cooked but I think some of her music is pretty good.

Ask me where she is in 12 months...not on the US charts. She's fitting the trend of 20 year old pop/rock, but doesn't have a lot of depth. Not to mention appeal..but the blue collar guys love her. I don't get it.

No she has a look that has not been seen in the music eye in a while...or at least that has not made the main stream....she actually looks like a girl I went out with in High School....I guess that is becuase I was a long haired punk back then...

Anyhow..if her music was not so 'pop-py' she might last..I mean if she were true punk style (such as 'the living end', etc) then she might have merit...

umm...DC & Scriv. i've come to the conclusion that they must be dropping something in the drinking water down there in DC......LOL

I have to admit, I have taken a bit of a liking to some of her music myself - and I don't generally like "pop"-y type stuff. I am not sure what it is about her though.

DC....I guess she has never seen (nor smelled) the Anacostia Water Treatment...

I like her music. She's cute, but only until she opens her mouth. Then she comes off like an obnoxious teen.

In her defence...she is an obnoxious teen..ahh to be 18 and on top of the music world currently..

I've never heard of Avril who is this person? What type if music - what song?

Oh no! I just realized she sings that god awful song Sk8er Boi!! Ugh!! I like Complicated and I'm With You though... Well don't think I'll be buying her album quite yet.
(still in shock that the same person who wrote Complicated wrote such a terrible song like Sk8er Boi).
