I have added the following information to the "Events" listings; I thought I would post it to this board as well...
Cantigas Women's Choir is holding auditions for new members. We are a forty-voice women's choir specializing in classical and folk repertoire. Repertoire for the 2003-2004 season will include works by Mozart, M.Haydn, Mendelssohn, and folk music of Turkey, Iran and the Americas.
Rehearsals are held in Hoboken on Tuesday nights from 7pm to 9pm beginning September 9. To get more information or to schedule an audition, contact Joan Litman at JLitman@aol.com or 201-435-5380. Sightreading is helpful; the ability to carry a tune is essential.
