Hi. I want to know if anyone is interested in a night outing combined with:
1) bowlling plays
(Chelsea, University place or Port Authority)
2) drink/dinner
Just let me know, along with your suggestions, if any. Rental would cost min. $20/person, but not absolute.
Have a good day!
delphine :)

me me me! I can't really bowl but I think it is fun. I haven't been to the one in Port Authority but I keep saying one day I will go there (that and Karaoke on Thursday nights in Port Authority) but I have been to Bowlmor (Univ. Place) and Chelsea Piers. Of those two, I like Bowlmor much better.

Delphine,
Greetings! Everyone on the board should know that I hosted a bowling day with the Social Circle group back in February at Playdrome Roosevelt Lanes in Jersey City. It was great and would be much more convenient than trying to tackle Chelsea Piers or Port Authority. Believe me...I spoke with reps from both places in the City and they are really crowded at most times...and then to reserve a lane is something like $135 per lane for a couple hours.
If you really want to go bowling, allow me to introduce you to my contact at Jersey City, where for a TOTAL OF (close to) $15 per person, you can have 4 people per lane, free shoe rental, large pizza pie per lane, and pitcher of soda per lane. Playdrome is on Route 440...about 10 minute walk from one of the light rail stations. I had been thinking about doing bowling with my social group on May 22, but didn't commit yet.
Thanks,
Michael

Just to let everyone know, there are some boards that NY nexus cafe and hobokecafe are really the same. I believe that the intention is to hold the event in NY (but I could be wrong). Not trying to put dividing lines between the two group, but I want everyone to be aware of them.
So that you know, I am located in NY and much prefer to do it in NY. I am not trying to take away from Michael suggestion and if he feels like running one in NJ, I might go to that one depending on my schedule.
