As the weather warms up, it would be fun to take extra walk all the way to the lower east side, Zum Schneider.
If you think this very down to earth pub looks fun.

The food looks yummy too (although admittedly, I wasn't quite expecting to see the scorched pig when I clicked on the link...)

They have a special festival - they usually do not have pig there. Loreley is another German Pub, but they do not offer events at reasonable prices. I am sick now, so once I get better, I will post another event for casual German food & drinks..
