Democracy-in-a-cell party

I'd like to find out if there are people here who would be interested in participating in a calling party the last weekend before the elections (Oct. 30/31).

The idea is to call women and possibly youngsters, especially in swing states, and encourage them to vote on Nov. 2nd.

You'll be armed with your own cell phone. I'll bring the scripts and contact numbers. We could have a potlock at the occasion.

We'd also need a space to gather at, any suggestions?

Legally how can this be done? Does it not go against the no-call list. We would not want to call someone who is on that list and pay a fine of thousands, not sure the exact amount. Since we would be calling from our own cell phones it'll simply get traced back to us and we'll be the one who would end up paying for it

To the best of my knowledge the Do-not-call list applies only to comercial solicitation, not political.

I know calling someone to get them to register to vote is against the do-not call law. So do check the laws cause i dont think you would want to pay thousands of dollars in fines.
