Between the chocolate fountain [in addition to pizza and platters and munchies and booze], a whole lot of games, and cool people [one bearing a guitar], it was really fun!
I don't think I have ever been to a game party without playing Apples to Apples and it was available, but this time I played Pictionary [and I was more confident in my drawing abilities before I played], Taboo [I expected it to be racier, but it was fun anyway - you describe the word on a card but not using the obvious words you'd think of on the same card, or you get buzzed and the other team gets a point, they also do if you pass], and Headlines [you get a few words to start out for the category and then make something up give four letters that are the first letters of the words in order that you add, it's timed and a judge picks the best one- we had diets and animal oddities and international stuff]
I didn't see people playing Scotland Yard or Ticket to Ride or Poker but there was plenty of [sometimes loud] fun going on anyway!
I didn't get a hold of Jerry's speed-matching card game, or Michael's Lost Cities pretty cards game that I saw people playing but maybe next time. I like Cranium but the Cranium guys seemed not to show up after all.
Bring on the pics, Mike!
