Greetings Hoboken friends,
The Grove St. PATH stop is closer than you think! Hop on over to downtown JC on Saturday, March 25th for the art opening event of the season. You don't want to miss this show -- last year when Victory Hall and the Jersey City Museum teamed up for an art event, about 500 people came out!
See description below.
Thanks so much,
Christine

Following the great success of last year's Skyway exhibit, Victory Hall and the Jersey City Museum have teamed up for a second time to collaborate on this exciting, Jersey-based show.
Rocio Aranda-Alvarez, Curator of the Jersey City Museum asked artists: What does New Jersey mean to you? If you were commissioned to create a monument to New Jersey, what might it be?
Over 30 artists working in a variety of mediums created proposals for an imaginary monument to New Jersey. The only requirements: an imagination for the large and refined, the dramatic and ostentatious or the quiet and sublime. Since these monuments will never actually be built, artists were encouraged to "spend" lavishly and be inventive! Artists’ works include a written description of the monument (including its title, proposed actual location and reason for being) and a site-specific drawing, collage, painting, photo, digital image or other two-dimensional rendering of the imaginary monument in its specific location, or a small maquette of their monument.
