What is the deal with auto insurance around here. I am switching everything from Texas to NJ - and I must have made about 20 phone calls to 20 different agencies - NO ONE CALLS BACK. Is ANYONE writing NJ auto insurance for Hoboken residents? This is unreal. I have never, ever had a problem obtaining car insurance. Until I moved here. Does anyone know where I can obtain car insurance locally? I'd really appreciate any tips. Thanks much.

I agree. I just moved here from Buffalo, NY & I have searched on line with all the major Insurance companies - - nobody insures NJ residents. Please give me a tip if you find a carrier.

I had Liberty Mutual insurance for a while but switched back to New Jersey manufacturers.
www.libertymutual.com
www.njm.com
NJM is hard to get because so many NJ companies are bailing. I think there is either a waiting list, or they aren't accepting new customers, but check out their website. if Liberty Mutual still goes this far north, they aren't too bad. Those are the only two I ever used, sorry!
