The Hoboken Cafe 

Hi Everybody! I live on 13th & Garden.My favorite place was just sold.It will be a Sushi restaurant soon.There is not many places near where I am uptown.I was wondering if anyone could help with suggestions of where I can go now.I'm looking for quiet,informal,comfortable and intimate etc.with top shelf liquor.I am well past the age of loud meat market places. Thanks!!!

CAfe Elysian - - 10th & Washington

Hi, Went to Elysian once.I wasn't crazy over it.I was told though that that's where some people from the old place will be hanging out.I'll give it another shot.I Thank You for your suggestion.

The Madison can be good if you can make it there when the bar isn't crazy. I'm assuming you are referring to The Jefferson closing? I loved that place too. Some of the people that worked at The Jefferson are now at The Madison. I did hear a rumor that the owners just bought an empty space on Clinton (?) and want to open a new place there.

Hi, I go to The Madison on off nights,if I'm flying solo for a weekend.I'll go there on a Sunday night.I'll also do Monday and Wednesday nights.The remainder of the week is not an option.I am referring to The Jefferson.The rumour is true.The restaurant near The A&P.It was Portofino.I'm noticing that nothing is happening with The Jefferson space. Thanks!
