The Hoboken Cafe 

Out of curiousity, has the Hoboken Cafe message board's gatherings resulted in any engagements or marriages? I realize that isn't the purpose of this site, I'm just wondering if it has ever happened.

A number of couples have formed from people meeting at events. The purpose of the group is to provide a venue for people to meet. A lot of the people are single and having events provides an opportunity for people to meet naturally as opposed to a dating site where people are looking specifically for a date.

Because of the fact that there are so many people who are looking for romance, I have been working on new funcionality that will help with this. I am hoping to have a lot of the new stuff up this weekend. I am making another subsite that is specificly for singles and incorporates some useful functionality that is found in traditional dating sites and some that is totally new. The focus of this will be to get people meeting at events.

The couples that have formed where people who were not out looking for a date, but instead came out to events and got to know people over time. So if you want to use the group to find someone, you have to come out to a number of events.
