Worried that your credit card was stolen. Look to see on Card Cops. cardcops.com has a free service to check to see if your credit card has been "stolen" and used. Plus, they have set up stings to catch unscrupulous people in using stolen credit cards.
I have not used it myself to check but I will in a minute. I found the information on CNN.com
http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/internet/06/26/identity.theft.a...

I've seen this before. I think it's ironic.
You enter your credit number. If it's in their
database, it means your cc number has been stolen.
But why would you give your cc number on this site
to begin with??? It's like those oxygen bars. Right.

Like I said, I have not tried it. I just saw it in the news. I was planning to take a look at it this weekend to see if it would post your credit card (but not your expiration date) to see if you recognize or search for the credit card to see if yours is there.
Apparently, it is a factor of trust. You want to make sure that THIS site, is trustworthy. Which is one of the reasons why I posted the article rather than the site. I was no posting it to advertise. More like providing information in case you need it.
But if what they (article and the website) say is true, it is good to know that there are people who are willing to set p stings and capture wrongdoers.
