the friends of the hoboken library are having a trivia charity
event. this is the problem , i had 5 people to sponser liberty bar then at the last minute backed out! i need 5 people to join the liberty team, its $20 bucks per person and it all goes to charity " the hoboken library".im not sure what the prizws are but ill know on thursday. this is the news letter they sent out,
Trivia contest: The Friends' very first Hoboken Trivia Fund-Raising
Competition will take
place Tuesday evening, May 20, 8-10pm, at the Elks Lodge, 1005 Washington
Street! As many as eight teams, each composed of five members, will compete.
Trivia categories will include: literature, music, current events, geography,
sports, and several Hoboken-specific questions. (Questions will be based on
information found in our beloved Library, of course!) At press time, there
was still room for another team, so if you and four
friends/colleagues/relatives/total strangers are
interested in competing, please contact event co-chairs Beth Terrill at
201/533-1174 or Hagar Berlin at 201/963-9397 immediately! Anyone is welcome
to form a team--and encouraged to find a corporate or other "sponsor" willing
to match the team entry fee of $20 per person. All donations are tax
deductible and will of course benefit the Library. The evening will be kicked
off and hosted by Bob Bowdon-anchor/reporter for Bloomberg Television-and
taken to new heights by the Master of Trivia Ceremonies-DJ Lui-Hoboken's
esteemed MC and trivia moderator. The evening promises to be entertaining as
well as enlightening. Do plan to attend! Admission to this fun-filled night
is $3, and all of these proceeds will benefit the Library as well. In
addition, if you'd like to assist with logistics or backstage,
please contact the co-chairs as noted above.
