I am thinking about taking a long weekend and going backpacking. I went in the Catskills in the Fall (near Hunter Mountain) which was nice but overrun by people in some areas. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good place to go or a good trail that is not too far away?

I was at Harriman State Park/Bear Mountain Park last weekend on a 10 mile hike, but its still a day hike. Its very close to the city - an hour away. You can take Metro North if you don't have a car. Nice hikes - good place to practice "being in the here and now"!!
