The Hoboken Cafe 

I was sitting at a red light on bergenline ave in north bergen when this white min-van pulls up next to me on the right. Anyone who might know bergenline ave knows its one lane each way even though there is room for 2 cars to be side by side. I really hate when people have to pull up on the right like that to pass you not to mention it's illegal.

So the light turns green and I start going and he starts accelerating to pass me. This pissed me off so I kept going faster to not let him in. Before I knew it we were going 60 mph in a 25 zone, all the time with him ahead of me but me not giving him enough room to get in front of me. For a few seconds I thought about trying to pass him but realized in order to do that I would probably have to go like 80 and I wasn't willing to do that.

After 10 seconds of that my turn was coming up (was going to CVS) so I just said whatever and slowed down to make my left turn into the parking lot. No sooner I make a left I hear a siren behind me and I'm like ohhh shit. Next thing I know a NB police SUV goes flying right past me with his lights on. I go into the parking lot and see the police car pulling over the min-van. Serves that f**ker right! Of course now I'm sweating that they will come after me too. I go in the store, pick up a few items,, come out and now there are THREE police cars behind this guy.

Normally that's the way I go back home but I wasn't going to drive past them all and tempt death so I took the long way home.

This also happens a lot on RT 5 and on River Road..dont get it ..a good friend of mine once had a quote for people like this ..she used to shout out "We all get to Christmas the same time " for some reason it made sense at the time lol

you are one lucky guy. I can't believe that (for once) there was a cop and this guy got nabbed...stuff like that never happens!

That is a great story. Driving seems to be such a dog eat dog thing around the metro area. I personally hate driving around here. Its good that the white mini van got what it deserved. Awesome.
