Revlon is running a contest on the MTV site to pick a woman to be on the red carpet interviwing celebs at the MTV Music Awards. I was working on some of the code for this and I will tell you that if you can made a decent video of youself, you have a good shot at winning.

You need to upload a pic of yourself as well as a video. A lot of people are uploading pics, but not the video (you must upload both to qualify). If you can make a decent video of youself, you have a good shot at winning (and no, I have nothing to do with picking the winner. I'm just doing tech work for it).

You have to enter by July 25th to be eligible.

The Url is at:

or

http://www.mtv.com/asp/revlon/vma05/redcarpetcontest/

if you want to see the flash intro.

Hi Mike, how are you? I have completed my entry! And I am very excited, but there seems to be a problem, according to the rules, the essay should be no more than 500 words, but the entry form is only accepting 500 characters. Is this technical issue being addressed? Please advise. Thank you.

Looks like a miscomunication with page dev. In any case, the video is the most important piece. The contest ends today and it was the same way for everyone, so don't worry about it.

Good luck,

-Mike
