Anyone out there interested in getting together for some Mountain Biking? I've got a pretty decent route that runs out towards River Road. Takes about 1 1/2 hours round trip.

Keep me in the loop if you are going to ride. When do you usually go?

Lets shoot for an evening next week. I can't promise much, since most of he riding I do around here barely touches the dirt.

I usually take off from my house (7th and Adams):
down to 14th and Adams
jump on Light rail construction path
behind the office buildings near the Harbor (Ruth Chris)
More light rail (the best part) about 3/4 mile all dirt
underneath the tunnel overpass
out down river road, to the left on the lightrail path
out towards the train tunnels (river road)
scoot into MAJOR construction site for more dirt
into the complexes on the right of river road
down cobblestone waterway
pass three buildings
down past the Unilever facility
out around to Repac pier and loop back

Total ride takes about an hour, not too fast but more to get out of the city, hit some dirt and get wet if possible (rain ditches).

If anyone can think of a better route that doesn't involve packing up the car, I'm game.

I've also gone down to the Tropicanna processing plant near Port Liberte, but its an all road route, with the exception of a brief stint on dirt when you pass through the light rail area around Liberty state park. Problem is down there you'll hit a Chromium land fill every now and then and I know thats not good to be riding through there (warning toxic signs posted everywhere). The beauty of this ride is that it hits this totally expanisve BEACH front, pristine sand and total quiet. I get out there and I'm amazed, but still the problem is that you have to hit this Chromium land fill to get there.

Say next week, Tue the 7th at 6:30PM my place? Maybe some beers in the back yard afterwards?

Postponed till some better temps arrive.
