I thoroughly enjoyed the black out. Probably about $2.00 on my electric bill due to the interruption.
It must be initiation for the incoming Mayor. But, the black out didn't last that long. There were so many candles in our apartment building it seemed that the Airliners flying into Newark mistaked our apartment for the control tower at Newark and Washington Street being the runway.

Now image if an outtage could knock out electrical and battery operated objects. 90% of the town would have to rely on face to face conversation instead of cell phones.........lol.

Horrors! Couples would need to talk to *each other* when strolling hand in hand down the street, drivers would have to do boring stuff like pay attention to the road, riders of the 126 may actually need to read the paper or something....

The problem wasn't having any TV or no lights...the problem was having no airconditioning. My boyfriends and I were so hot we couldn't even hold hands or form words to talk to one another LOL........and it seems like just me but for the past TWO night ALL night I've had no power from 8:30PM until 6AM in the morning!
