Did anyone see the television show on FOX called "24"? It has been very hyped and they are going to have two more encores of the pilot over the next week before the second episode airing next week. I thought that the pilot was one of the best shows I have seen on TV, ever.
The only potential hitch is that every episode is dependent on each other (for an entire season taking place in 24 hours) because they run in "real-time", so that the one hour show last night literally was one hour in the show.
For background info, see the website at: http://www.fox.com/24/home.html

Uh...got to disagree. My roommate and I watched it (after a very funny Simpsons Halloween special) and both of us had trouble seeing what was so great about it. The split screen device they used was out of some bad 70's spy movie (and used to much better effect in a Beastie Boys video) and the dialogue was rife with cliches. Kiefer was the best part of it, and that's not saying much, considering that the supporting actors were so wooden. I guess I had kind of high expecations after all the hype.

Do you know when FOX is going to air the encores? I watch Buffy and it ran past 9PM, so I figured since I missed the beginning of 24, it wasn't worth trying to catch up.

I gotta agree w/JennC. I watched part of it and I totally lost interest with the split screen. I felt like I was watching Charlies Angels. I stopped watching it after 20 mins.

If nothing else it breaks the mold... it's not "Friends"
or "ER" or one of those lawyer shows. I thought it was
pretty fun, they "blow shit up" and set the stage for
a couple of interesting plot lines- stop the terrorists,
find the daughter, have an office fling... I must confess
I was torn between watching 24 and buffy the musical.
