i did, did you? i was a fire fighter in drag. it was a blast. i got interviewed by cbs news. i'd like a copy of the broadcast on ny1 but i can't find one.

yup - this year I was lame, though - went as a witch, put together "costume" last minute -my fourth year marching - I was medusa last year, character from "Eyes wide shut" the year before that, and a black widow the year before that
A buddy of mine that I bumped into at the parade was in Gulf war [10 year anniversary] uniform, he got interviewed for French radio and Italian TV or the other way around
There were fewer people this year but still lots of cool homemade costumes and great music

hey... i lost my village halloween parade virginity this year and had a blast, although it was definately not as crowded as last year. i marched with my roommate and we handed out flyers for the play "six goumbas and a wannabe..." it was nice weather but i was in a really skimpy outfit, so i kept sitting on the hood of the jeep that was behind us to keep warm before the parade started. that was my favorite part of the night, hanging out with everyone in costumes and on floats before the parade actually began. they spread us out too much later.

what were you dressed as? i was a drag fire fighter. it was so cool. my friend and i were in the head of the parade near the puppets. i had a blast. i always do. it's the coolest ny thing, i think!
