Hey, I know there are a number of you who have suffered from loss of work recently, like me. Let's see if we can use this board for networking purposes and create mini alliences of people in the same fields to help each other and perhaps start small coops of 3-4 consultants.

I'm going to start by asking people in the Computer programming, Web development, and Video production fields to contact me. Anybody else?

Hi theatrebuff,

I am not sure I understand your question. Anyway, what I was trying to suggest was to use this thread to forge alliances and cooperation between people in similar disciplins. This board is a good tool for networking and could help people help each other out in these difficult times.

I am a manager of web development. I can do front-end code (HTML, ASP, some VB Scripting, Javascript) and I can project manage as well.

I'm also quite adept at desktop support, both hardware and software.

I'm DYING in this drought. :(

Television-Ad Sales Research (Nielsen Ratings)

I'll consider anything media-related. If that fails, I'll become a starving artist.

If we are all being laid off, then how is all of our work getting done? Were we replaced by Johnny 5s?

I work for a company that's in the business of matching up their experienced accounting/finance, IT, and HR associates with their client organizations on a project basis.

If you are interested in project based work and would like to learn more, send an e-mail to my Yahoo account.
