It has been amazingly warm lately, and I can't afford a gym, still searching since the summer for long luscious trails to roller blade on like the west side highway trail.
Well, it is just across the river, a ferry ride away in Hoboken North or South.
So, I am going to have lots of time on my hands, since my job is winding down, and I know there are lots of you who are in the same position, (any one need a web designer or information architect) so lets go have some fun, excercise and fight off depression.

The Christopher St. PATH is just 3 blocks or so from the Hudson Trail - a round trip on PATH will save you $5 - $9 vs. the ferry*, but the ferry can't be beat on a nice sunny day. Also the ferry is much better during rush hours.
You can also go around the battery and up to South St. Seaport, or cut over to City Hall and across the Brooklyn Bridge, or go up to the w. 60's and go into Central Park. Lots of good options across the river.
If you don't mind a subway ride, Prospect Park in Brooklyn is pretty cool. Avoid biking/blading on Flatbush Ave. though, not very nice.
* assuming $5 Hoboken North ferry fee plus $1 bike surcharge each way.
