Doesn't the idea of retribution scare anyone?

The more of these cockroaches we stomp out, the less retribution is to be expected. For years, people have lived in fear of what retribution will come about if anyone stood up to Sadamm and his cronies - those fears are over and the US is finally making a stand. Nice to finally have a leader with some balls for change.

If you had a lump on your body and didnt know what it was and you ignore it maybe it might go away for a short time but most likely it would grow bigger and harm you? When you turn your back and turn a blind eye you will get hit even harder.
History - We (America) did nothing for several years in regards to Hitler, Nazis, Germany. They (Nazis) did not just go away they only grew stronger they also developed out and out Allies, like the pact of steel with Japan and Italy plus other allies such as Austria and the ever so silent and sneaky "France".

Retribution? I'm sure Saddam is scared of retribution. He's getting it in spades.

Why should we be scared?

Amen. Since 9/11 we've had no terrorist attack on US soil. I credit the leadership that Bush has taken since then to respond to the threat. Say what you want to about his mangled syntax, and mock him all you want - at the end of the day - the bottom line is that he is a man who says what he means, and more importantly he backs it up.
