Hey, anyone know anything about new wave artist Klaus Nomi?

I just saw The Nomi Song which is a documentary on his life and career (it was amazing). I was just wondering what you guys know. He was a new wave artist from the late 70s and early 80s, who even played with Bowie on SNL! I was first told about the film from my boss at Universal, but I was wondering what you guys know.
