Let's see...new to Hoboken, but most are. Was hoping to see this site active, but a little disappointed.
I'm interested in meeting another guitar player to play with, just to have fun and learn from each other. I've been playing for 14 years or so, but have been stuck in this pentatonic rut that I can't get out of. Haved been involved in an acoustic duo back in college and a wedding band (I'm 34) but it's been awhile since I've played with anyone since.
Really just looking to jam and share a beer...or two

I too would like to play more & have a jam.
Used to play upright & 5-string a lot, but haven't really played much since leaving Uni & getting a job.
Lack of equipment a bit of a problem at the moment. It's all back in the UK.
Anybody bought a guitar from the "guitar bar" on 1st? What's the after sales support like (free setup after 1 month after she's bedded in -- that sort of thing).

The place sucks, esp. on Wednesday's.

I'm always looking for a good bass player... I play guitar currently with a trio, two guitars and drums, we're basically doing standards and such.
I purchased my guitar from the Guitar Bar and had good service. Wouldn't bring it there for any major repairs like fret work or such.

Doug and others -- I'd love to jam sometime too. I play acoustic guitar and piano... in fact, I have a home recording studio set up if anyone is interested in laying down tracks.
And I love beer too.

Tell you what. When I've finished moving & stuff I'll drop U an e-mail & maybe we can jam?
Do U have a rehersal space? I used to use my parents garage but that's 3000 miles away & :. a little impractical....

Well, now that I've seen this message I agree with Mike that it's rude.
Personally, I would like to see more posts about what's going on musically in town. I don't care if those posts come from the club or the band or whoever.

I think I saw your bossa nova band the other night. You guys are great!
Especially your lead guitarist.
Keep rockin.
