A Benefit for the Spirit of New York All proceeds to the WTC Relief Fund and/or The American Red Cross. $9 - Ages 16+ (15 bands signed for the evening, I think)

I am playing to attend the "You Can't Keep Us Down" rally on Friday night at CBGB's. I posted something about this event a few weeks and 1 other person expressed an interest in going, so I'm asking once again if anyone else wants to join me. If so, just respond to this thread or e-mail me. Maybe we can get dinner beforehand as well.

they're probably my favorite of the local bands here in boken... they often play at the Ristra on tuesdays, and Chris Gibson (aka Gibby) from High Speed Chase shows up a lot as well. open mike night is a great way to catch a sort of "pot luck" of hoboken music talent. No cover, good music, great atmosphere, and good drinks; just tell Joe the bartender I sent ya :P

Besides their sound, I also have a spot for Eugene because two of the band members separately told me on two different nights as I was heading out that they liked my poetry [open mic is music and poetry too]:)
