Welcome Everyone. My name is Rena and I will hosting the Hoboken Writer's Discussion Board. I am looking forward to exchanges ideas with all of you. Please share any ideas you have about writing, any great books you've read or author signings that you hear going on.

If anyone is interested in joining the Hoboken's Writing Club please let me know. We usually meet once a weekand you will have the opportunity to meet with other Hoboken Writers like yourself, get feedback on work in progress and share books and ideas about the writing craft.

This is a good idea, since Hoboken seems to be teeming with writers and those who read! I am a poet who reads sometimes at the Ristra Lounge on Tuesdays. It is predominately music right now, that's why I would encourage writers to come to the Open Mic's sponsered by Hipnosis Magazine ( www.hipnosis.com ). I have discovered how important it is to be able to connect with an audience, and reading my stuff publicly has provided me with the forum to do that. I would encourage anyone interested and ready to connect, to please come down on Tuesday nights ready to read. Sign-up is at 8pm, but the show doesn't get underway until 9pm.

Hi Rena, I would like to join the writing club...once I manage to finish unpacking. I am buried in boxes from my move a couple of weeks ago! I think it would be really to meet others who write.

We usually meet Tuesday nights at 7 at the Sinatra Cafe at 5th and Sinatra Drive in Hoboken. We are meeting this week if you would like to come check it out!
