Writer's block

I have a HUGE writer's block. I can sit in front of the computer for hours, staring blankly at the empty screen. Help?

I find that writing on a yellow legal pad (not a white one) helps ease the anxiety of writing something good--somehow it's less intimidating to fill a page that's already "dirty" with color than a blank white page, which seems to somehow demand perfection.

I have had writer's block for about 9 months now. Then again, the reason for my block is my real job being a computer analyst. I do know that some friends of mine wishes to see the next chapter I write as well edit some of the other stuff they already read. :)
