None of the Blackwell sisters ever married.
Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman doctor,
adopted a daughter.

Her sisters adopted
daughters too.

Of all the adopted daughters,
only one ever had a husband.
None ever had any children.

This is a picture of dwindling lines.
There are so many women in the picture,
like a horrible sorority
where the hazing
comes last.
