hello

i'm a relative newbie on this message board. i used to affiliated with new jersey poets (bergen, essex counties) a while ago. i was wondrin' besides symposia bookstore n the el rodeo in hoboken where can other intellectual like-minded individuals like me convene to meet other people in their 20's. i am aware that pacific coast coffee company offers some poetic events in bergen county. i've been disconnected with the whole spoken word circuit. i'm just hoping to listen to different ideas n possibly have conversations with females. maybe that's too unrealistic though. i just dunno. yes i am a bit of an introvert but that's ok bc i have a beautiful, romantic mind. i'm not boasting or acting like an elitist though. anyway, thanks for reading this letter.

You should check out the Frozen Monkey.

http://www.frozenmonkeycafe.com/

Check the website for the events, but most any time you drop by, there are cool people there.

Otherwise, there's a few things going on in Jersey City and I also know of one out in Oradel called Cool Beans. Check poetz.com and look for the Jersey calendar.

I was also going to mention the Frozen Monkey. I had talked briefly with one of the owners. It's a cool new place. You should also check out Monochrome Mondays at Rodeo.
