Anyone interested in going to the movies this week after work? I heard The Others wasn't very good, but I'd be interested in seeing something else. Open to suggestions.

I would like to see American Pie 2 (though as always, the sequel is never as good as the first) or MADE (from the screenwriter of Swingers).

I would be up for seeing "Made". Looking at the times and locations on Moviefone, 7 PM at the AMC Theatres Empire 25 on W. 42nd St. (it's next to 8th Ave.) seems good. Anyone else up for it?

made was a great, funny movie. vince vaighan and jon favreau are hired by a godfather-type played by peter falk, columbo, to do a deal....chaos ensues when tactless vince opens his mouth....really really fun, i would like to see it agagin, since when i went i sat in the 1st row and hurt my neck, i din't get to enjoy it fully...it's at union square cinemas, which is really convenient to the path...

They are taking off the screen today (last day at the 14th Street Cinema).

We will have to go to 42 Street one.

Reply to the post by 5 pm if you are coming over. I was waiting for stacyb to response if she like the movie choice (since it was her idea) but I will definitely go if at least one other person goes as well.

As for the plot, two guys (in the criminal nature) from LA move to NYC to become Made men (recognized in the Mob) It suppose to be funny.

Forgot the most important parts

Place is 42 Street. Use moviefone to find the location (be sure to change the date too.

The declare time is 7pm.

I noticed this also when I went on Moviefone's site earlier today (that they were taking it off after today at Union Square), so I agree that 7 PM at Empire on W. 42nd St. is the best time and place. I'll definitely be there and I hope to see the rest of you there as well (so I guess this is my confirmation message as well). Since it's so close to Port Authority, maybe we should just take the bus (126 or Academy) there instead of the PATH. If we do that, though, then we have to agree on a location. Maybe a central location, like the bus stop on Washington Street just past 7th, will be good for everyone? If not Either one (the bus or the PATH) is fine with me, though. And we should meet up an hour before showtime to give us enough time.

No worries. I have to run errands but whatever everyone else wishes to do is fine. BTW, I am wear a navy blue polo shirt and green khakis and brown shoes with a backpack if you need to spot me. See you there.

Post event: Total of three people showed up. If we miss anyone, I apologize. But, for those who did not go and wondered if the movie was great, it was. Try to catch it on video if you don't have the time to see it in the theatres (since it looks like it is on its way out). It was slow in the beginning but it definitely pick up later on.

Some foreshadowing during the film in a subplot that will lead to the end (which I won't surprise it for you if you intent to see the film; e-mail me if you spoilers).

Anyway, if anyone wants to organize another movie event, let the message board know. Start a new thread. :)
