No, but I'll go if there's any extra ticket around!

Anyone else going to see Tori Amos on October 10th or 11th?

I don't think I'll be going to that but I saw her for the first time with U2 back in June and she was really good. She puts on a great show.

I'm glad to know that because my friend Ian, who also saw her open up for U2 back in June, said that she was awful. Then again, he's not much of a fan of hers, or of most female singer-songwriters for that matter, whereas I'm a big fan of hers and I'm looking forward to the show (I'm also seeing the one on the 5th).

PJ Harvey is an "acquired taste" I must admit but I love her and her style. My boyfriend on the other hand was a little puzzled by her performance and her music :)

i was talking to a friend today about pj harvey, and she actually broke off a 5 year relationship, one of the reasons being the ramifications of her guy calling pj harvey's music PMS psycho stalker music...i think she puzzles a lot of people.

Well, I'm a guy who happens to LIKE PJ Harvey, at least on record (I'll find out how she is live next week). I can understand the PMS, psycho-stalker thing in reference to her earlier records (particularly "Rid of Me"), but I don't think that if you listen to her more recent stuff, especially her newest one ("Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea") that it's the same old PJ. She's much happier now and a lot less angry (but thankfully, she keeps the guitar crunch up and she's gotten more melodic over the years also) and I think, ultimately, a lot more human.
