I tend to use the "Message Boards" page mostly and look at the boards that have new posts (a cool feature those red tags are). What would be nice is if each day the viewed color (i.e., vlink) on the links to the boards reset itself. This way I'd know what boards I looked at that day and I wouldn't miss a new post (couldn't let that happen ;) ).
You could do this right* and track each users usage for the day in a database. I don't know much about CGI and if it would work (I code in less hard core web languages), but the easy way to do it is just add the date to the url as a url variable
