I posted this website address once before on the discussion board, but for anyone who missed it, or if you haven't looked at it in a while, there's lots of updates, plus a thriving "Laid Off" message board (not that I'm encouraging the competition!)

And yes, Todd is still unemployed but he's in talks with Mike Judge and others and been on CNN with this!

Did you hear that NY state is after him to return $3,000 in unemployment checks? Apparently, they consider this site a business venture or something, because he's getting money from the "tip jar."
I think I read it in yesterday's Times.

NY must be really desparate for money if they are doing that. 3,000 dollars? Come on.

Yes, I heard that today on NPR. He was doing an interview. Those unemployment people are no fun.

The International Herald Times is doing a piece as well.

It is not only getting money from the tip jar since you may accept donations while being unemployed (like borrow money from your friends and family and not paying back). Apparently, you are suppose to be actively looking for a job as oppose to answering e-mail or sitting at home all day. How the Department of Labor is figuring this out, I don't know. He has agreed to pay the money back but he is unsure how considering that all of the money from the tip jar has been going to rent.
