I'm feeling a little bit disgruntled today and I feel the need to b***h and moan, so I thought I'd come here to do so. I have been trying to find a new job for the past 2 months and there is NOTHING OUT THERE. I know we are in a recession, but this is crazy. I've been sending out 15-20 resumes a week for the past month and I've only had 3 interviews. I don't even get callbacks for jobs that fit the same description as my current one! There was one really great job that I would have loved, but it only paid $22,500. I'm sorry, but how do you expect someone to live in NYC on THAT salary? I just want to know if anyone else feels like this recession is never going to end? Is anyone else at a roadblock too? I just don't want to be stuck at my stupid job forever.

I hear you, daddieo. I send out seven resumes a day, on average. I have had two interviews this month so far. Mom says it takes six solid months of looking, but I sense it's going to take me longer to find the right job.
And our lowest paid employees at my last job made in the teens. They rented in the Bronx.
