Description: General Manager -- Primary task is to lead Business Development efforts.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented executive with at least ten to fifteen years of senior sales and sales management experience including three years of progressive business development experience in a high tech environment and two years experience managing the operations of a regional office in an international company. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a keen understanding of the relevant issues impacting service and solution sales and, possess the strong, dynamic leadership skills required. Candidates will have a blend of the following:
· A results-oriented senior sales and marketing professional with a proven track record for leading and managing a business development team involved in the selling of complex service solutions such as software or consulting. Solid understanding of the service sale;
· A successful track record in developing and managing successful business development teams;
· Solid experience in preparing and managing operating budgets;
· Strong negotiation skills to enable the successful conclusion of complex business deals and arrangements;
· A proven record of attracting and retaining highly qualified individuals and developing these individuals into a committed, motivated and energized team;
· Related degree or diploma or relevant experience PERSONAL SKILLS Successful candidates will possess the following personal skills and attributes:
· Bright, conceptual thinker. Strong operations skills. Very honest, strong principles. Good integrity and values system.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability and maturity to quickly establish credibility and respect with a broad range of diverse business partners, both internally and externally;
· A strong business acumen with the savvy and judgment to understand and respond to the diverse requirements of a rapidly changing business environment;
· A proven ability to successfully position oneself as the leader by ensuring that everyone buys into the corporate mission and that they influence through direct and indirect means, giving people a stake in the outcome by ensuring they participate in the process;
· A consensus style manager who values and solicits others? input and expertise, using this information to make decisions and strategize;
· A dynamic, energetic individual with proven, strong leadership and communication skills who can attract, develop and motivate a strong, diverse client development team and who can unite an entire office behind a common vision;
· A sense of personal urgency, drive, energy, resiliency and enthusiasm necessary to lead a significant evolution in a young organization?s structure, business processes, methods of operating and overall values.
· An ability to make timely decisions in complex, ambiguous or highly risky situations, where the consequences of the decision have broad and /or long-term implications for the success of the business.
