Description: This Financial Trade Management Solutions Company is seeking a highly qualified Director, For Analysis and Design. This Director will lead other managers and teams of analysts and designers working on multiple and complex software development efforts.
Requirements: Responsibilities: ? Work as a team with managers from other functional areas to achieve product development goals and other strategic initiatives. ? Communicating functional design and methodology concepts outside the group as necessary. ? Make functional and trade off decisions along with Product and Program Management. ? Help build and organize the analysis and design team. ? Understand the underlying business applications, corporate goals, and product plan deliverables and apply design techniques and technology as appropriate to execute plans in a timely fashion. ? Oversee the creation and execution of project plans and milestones. ? Manage the area's finances, personnel, and administrative issues.
Qualifications: ? Ten to fifteen years experience in the Securities Business with a robust understanding of the Institutional trade processing flow. ? Knowledge of Electronic Trade Confirmation, Matching, Straight Through Processing (STP) and the current industry initiatives affecting these areas. ? Five or more years experience with Object Oriented Design and Analysis (OOAD) techniques, UML modeling tools, and an understanding of the distributed development environment. ? Relevant project management and development methodology skills for OOAD. Five or more years of management experience. ? Experience in large development efforts. ? Experienced manager of design teams. ? Ability to make decisions and close out issues. ? Thorough background in Use Case Analysis, Object Oriented Design, and knowledge of the Rational Rose suite of project methodology tools. ? Good understanding of capabilities and limitations of a wide-range of technologies and products including Solaris, Oracle, and the Object Oriented development environment. ? Proven ability to mentor and motivate senior staff members and other managers. ? Ability to work with other functional groups such as QA, Software engineering, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, etc. ? Excellent writing skills, organizational skills, and articulate speaker. ? Proven experience in the various phases of System Development Life Cycle. ? Undergraduate or advanced degree in a related discipline.
