I couldn't take another two day "One Day Sale", another "Super Saturday", or another 6 day work week........Macy's...and the commute to Garden City was making me nutts. Retail sucks and I was only making $47k anyway.

I have a couple good Wholesale-Vendor leads, so hopefully I'll be back to work soon! I had a good interview in Thursday.

Well, that's a shame. Don't worry you'll find something pretty quickly.

What?! The parking nightmare will never be over, unless someone builds parking garages.

Only 47k ???

I could easily understand the other reasons for your departure, but there are many people that would not include the word "only" in the same sentence as "47k"

That's precisely what my (currently) unemployed husband said when I read the post to him!

With my Experience & at my age 47k is not a lot of money. I used to make a lot more, as do my friends. I used to have my own business. My little sister gets 20k bonuses!

I was working RETAIL (A Dept. Manager), 6 days a week (& it's not even Christmas) & driving 52 miles to Garden City, Long Island!! On my late nights when I worked until 10:30PM, I wouldn't get home until 12-12:30AM. If you've never been a Retail Manager, you wouldn't know what it's like. BTW- if you want a job, the Roosevelt Field Mall Macy's is Desperate for a Juniors Manager and a Moderates Manager......go for it!

I'm about to enter into my seventh month of extended vacation (i.e. unemployment).
