Product Manager
Part of the global Connectivity and FIX group. Key is to be a strong
communicator who can interface with all the different business groups
(eg,
sales, trading, QA, Development) and also have basic technical
knowledge
of FIX.
- Key responsibilities are to:
- enhance the trading operations using FIX (eg, through client
connectivity or the Desk -- add functionality etc). This is not a
very
technical role
with FIX, but must know how FIX is used by the clients and how it
interfaces
with all the trading partners.
- to propose and create the best connectivity solutions
-- MUST have knowledge of ELECTRONIC TRADING and the FIX Protocol
-- Overall, MUST have business knowledge of equity trading -From
front
office to
settlements
-- Must have experience gathering requirements and strong writing
skills
- Will work with 3rd parties
This is truly a Liaison role managing relationships with all the
departments,
multi-tasking, setting priorities, Communicating with all the groups
and
managing DEPLOYMENT of initatives. Need to have strong Technical
writing
skills to properly communicate with all group.
2) Java and C++ Developer
The group is in the Trading division
Specs: Java 3-5 years, J2EE (1-2 yrs) -- JDBC, EJB, JMS
- BEA Weblogic a huge +++
- C++ (3+ years) Unix
- RUP, Rational rose (they like candidates with strong process and
methodology)
- XML, XSL, XSLT, HTML, Javascript
- Cascading style sheets
- Any VBA or excel is helpful (they use it now)
Overall, will design and enhance Java and C++ applications
3) Jr C++/Unix/Socket developer
- will work in production support and assist other senior developers
- this is the Exchange Linkage group
- seek: C++, Unix, Socket development, Equity trading
4) QA/FIX engineer
- this is part of the Trading systems group
- will test FIX applications (eg, the FIX gateways to all the trading
systems)
- write test plans, test scripts from functional specs
- integrate testing log results
- suggest automated testing solutions (a +)
-- MUST have tested with FIX - prefer 2+ years under Unix (Sun and HP
used)

5) Core Architect/Developer
- Java needed for mission critical applications
- Must have both NT and UNIX experience (LINUX preferred)
