It's true. Food and happy hour events are easy to organize and very popular. Anybody can host one. This purpose of the site is to enable people to start their own events. This is why anyone can post an event in the events section and we also advertise the events in the weekly mailing.

A mailing goes out once a week with a list of the upcoming events posted in the events section.
