I know this one.

The answer is “no” unless you watch infomercials in which case the answer is still “no.”

The Gut Buster or even a thousand crunches a day won’t demolish a belly. The Thigh Master won’t do anything for thunder thighs. You may tone up the muscles underneath but you’ll still have a layer of fat over the top. But maybe your wallet will get thinner.

Eat less, eat better, exercise more. That’s the magic formula.

Unfortunately Stacey the pattern that bodyfat is utilized in the body is geneticly predispositioned. We have no control over whether it will come of the thighs, the stomach, or even the arms or face. Chances are bodyfat will be utilized from all places all the time. The only evidence that comes anywhere close to "spot reduction" is a hypothesis that bodyfat in the abdomen is more easily mobilized and therefore easier to lose, but further study must be done. As far as specfic exercises refer to my articles "The Truth About Weight Loss",and "More Mucle, Less Myth". You will only notice differences even you increase the amount of muscle and reduce your bodyfat.
