I'd like to offer a First Degree Reiki class that will
begin at the beginning of July. Reiki was
rediscovered by Mikao Usui. Reiki is an energy system
that is primarily utilized through laying on of hands.
You are first attuned to the energy, and immediately
afterwards you are able to work with this energy for
your benefit and the benefit of others.
The class lasts for five weeks, and we will meet for an
hour and a half. We all will decide together the best
time to meet each week. We will have class on IRC,
which is accessible by WebTV, PC's, and Macs. You will
receive two on-line manuals for this class which contain
extensive information from Usui himself and on how
to perform treatments, how to set-up a room, what to do
afterwards, how to handle emotional releases, ethics,
and hand placements to name a few things.
Each week I try to take you on an adventure of self-
discovery. I show you some of the paths that I've found
that have helped develop a strong relationship with the
energy. The energy is alive. It's dynamic...the last
thing it is is static, or a flat drawing. The classes
encourage you to interact with the energy, to learn from
it, to be guided by it, and most of all to have fun with
it.
The first class will consist of your attunements, which
are always fun, self-empowering, life-changing, and
blissful. We'll discuss self-treatments and the treatment
of others.
During the second class, you'll learn how to send remote
treatments. Yes, a first degree practitioner can send
remote treatments. You'll also learn how to do a
treatment using polarity techniques.
During the third class, we'll explore the energy with
our senses. This is a wonderful way to become more
aware of the energy and how we and others connect
and receive it. We'll work with the senses as we
send to one another, discuss how we can use this
to support the energy on a physical level during and
between treatments.
The Fourth clas is when we will allow our Soul's to
express itself through toning and movement; two incredible
healing tools. After we have worked with both methods,
we'll discuss how to utilize these methods during
treatments.
During the last class, we'll explore the intuitive aspect
of the energy that will guide you as you perform
treatments on yourself and others.
I've been teaching all of my life, and I've been teaching
Reiki for two years. I was introduced to Reiki by my
dog Chester who was severely ill. A friend of mine
offered to give him a treatment. I was highly skeptical,
however I was also incredibly desperate. Within
moments of laying her hands upon him, he fell asleep. His
entire body shook, and then she was done. A chronic problem
that he had had since the day I found him, has never
reappeared. To this day, whenever Chester isn't feeling
well, he cuddles with me, and then he pulls my hands
to wherever he isn't right. I love Reiki, and I wish
to share it with everyone.
