But does it actually happen that way? or is it just something that has been said by a wise master who didn't have an answear to the question from a student who asked "When do you know when suffiecient energy has been given" (Oh come on you knew I was going to ask that didn't you LOL)

Why didn't the wise teacher answer the question?

In Quantum Mind, it speaks about CR (consensus reality) and NCR (non-consensus reality). Certain non-ordinary experiences are difficult to constrain into CR explanations because of imaginary qualities that are, in essence, subjective to each observer.

It all falls back on the interpretation of the observer, or one's "perception". Infinte numbers of variables come into play here.

For me, when following intuition, it just "feels" right and my answer is received. I don't always have to have the "confirmation" that our ego likes so much.

I can't say anything about whether "sufficient" or not. Other than I have indeed noticed that the flow is sometimes greater in quantity and sometimes less. This "may" be what the teaching is talking about. Or it could be other factors.
I do have to wonder though, if we are always recieving what is sufficient then why would one work to become a clearer channel. Does it just max out? So being clearer we can then tap into higher levels of "what is sufficient"? Or is ecome a cleaer channel referring to keeping more and more personal energy out of the mix.

- for myself?? When doing hands-on reiki (especially) I can feel when the energy flow ebbs sufficiently to know it is time to move on (to the next hand placement)

- if the recipient "persists" in pulling energy at a particular spot I may tarry longer but eventually will move on to complete the circuit, so to speak

- but, with every Intention of returning to the earlier hot spot to see if it is still 'hot'

Exactly (LOL).

At times we are only taught what our teacher is taught and so on.
Like we are told that reiki knows where to flow, thus leading us to believe that it has an inteligance (where I stand on that one is that if it knows where to flow, why are we taught hand positions LOL).

It is I think at times, like urban myth. It might have a grain of truth, but is based on suppsosition.

I do work on intuition, just as I very much suspect the majority of us do.

I do think it is good to question some of the old chestnuts thou don't you?

At one time, most educated people thought the earth was flat (Probally the uneducated ones as well LOL)
But some one questioned it and as we all now know the earth is supported on 4 pillers and carried on a giant turtles back around the sun. Now I know that is true, cos I read it in a book (LOL).

(Time for my meds I think LOL)

Unfortunatly not everyone does. I recently helped some fellow RM's prepare their first Reiki class. Certain things I showed them had been puzzling them for quite a while, especially as they are also both trained spiritual healers as well. The differences wern't at first questioned, because of thier trust for the RM that taught us.

Yes indeed, it is unfortunate.

In the world of opposites, we are taught that in order to know something we have to learn it. Yet, we have the knowledge, we just have to remember it.

That is why I said I learn more when I teach. Just being willing to trust that knowledge is within allows it to surface and not only be shared, but remembered.
