So I was up late last night trying to find out what it causing the message posting problems and discovered that there is a bug in the web server version that causes long posts to be truncated. To fix it I'm going to have to manually update the server to a newer version.

It may take a few days to fix (as I have a day job). For now you have to keep posts short. Sorry. You will get an error message if you try to post a long message.

- I initially got an error message also when trying to post a longer message but when I clicked Preview and then back to Post Message it posted in its entirety

Hi Mike and Firekeeper,
I did try to post a long message many times today. I went to do other things for a while after realizing that only short posts got through. I thought that there was a limit to how long a post can be. Alas, I did not wish to break my post into two different posts.
So, after many hours, on the same day (which is just a moment ago), I try to post again to see if the post will go through this time. Of course, (you may say), I would have to quit trying for a few days. I (who don't know about the bug) went to see how long most posts are. It was when I was looking for posts to check out their length that I saw your post. Thanks goodness. The "strange" thing is that soon after you have informed us about the problem, I went to make my post. Guess that I should check out the announcement boards when I meet problems like this. Hope that I do not end up with too many similar posts after the problem is fix.
