- I do not have a copy of the book and certainly will not buy one until I know more about this matter

- have you contacted Ms. Chin to hear what she might have to say? Or contacted her publisher?

- it is possible that she borrowed the stuff without having read your disclaimers, etc. thinking that internet stuff not specifically listed as copy righted is fair game, so to speak; 'public property'

- I am not in any way justifying what she did, in any case, as I feel she really needed to at least mention you and or the website somewhere in the book

- and, if you have legal claim to this material as intelllectual property then perhaps this might be some sort of "bargaining chip" for you.

Yes, both.

as I mention at the foot of the linked page, a few of the other folk who unintentionally contributed to the book also contacted her (and the publishers, and Amazon, etc).

so far, no sign of an apology, nor even an attempt at explanation

on a good day, in a very generous mood, I might consider that as a possibility - had it been only one extract from one person's work, but you've seen the list of 'unintentionally contributing authors'.

I'm pretty certain that even someone poorly informed about copyright violation/plagiarism might consider it just a tad unethical to fill entire chapters of 'their' book with others work (especially a Reiki Teacher)

hey - in retrospect, I got off fairly lightly - others have had far more of their work misused than I had - and it was all clearly copyrighted.

In this instance, read 'get even' as 'restore equilibrium'

- 'restoring the balance'

- yes, "get even" can be used to refer to 'restoring one's balance' - but I would wager that is not exactly how 96\100 people might interpret the expression's implications
