The Reiki Cafe 

My husband and I have had what we feel is an amazing idea and I'd like oppinions from other healers.

Our idea is to set up a place where healers of all types, not just reiki, could come and practice. They could come set up tables or work spaces, bring their clients to one centrally located place so that if the client wants to suppliment the work their having done with another type of healing as well, it's all in the same building...kinda like a medical practice.

The part I'm not sure of is...do we make it like a regular coop and charge a membership fee to the practicioners, do we simply rent out space or do we simply charge a percentage of the work done...or a combination of the above?

A neat idea and Atlanta seems a great place to do this!

- my suggestion is some professional advice - regarding contractual arrangements, etc

- if there are memebership fees then memebers may want some sort of profit sharing -

- depending on the relative $$$ productivity of "memebers" - some may feel more or less inclined to share revenues -

- or if you can be sufficiently capitalized to cover rent on a place till revenues from space subleases or rentals come in that would likely be the most flexible option - also the most risky for you - as opposed to having people "buy in" first to generate operating $$$

- you could sublease some space daily, some monthly, etc -

- also the issue of tables, etc -

- health codes if you will have any food around - bathrooms, etc

OOOH! You could call in sick to work...until the reiki starts working the cramps out, that is...

Kind of a bummer, isn't it? No more sick days as a reiki practicioner ;-) Course I don't miss the sick part. Matter of fact, I don't think I've *gotten* sick since my level 1 attunement. Now that's a VERY cool thought. Everyone should be able to do this for themselves.

I know! I'll start a healing cooperative!
