The Reiki Cafe 

Hi everyone.
I am a massage student in Calgary. I heard the word Reiki being mentioned in class and did some research. I've read "The Spirit of Reiki" by Walter Lubeck, Frank Arjava Petter and William Lee Rand and am really interested in taking my Level one. If you are in Calgary and can assit me please email. I would suggest you pick up a copy of Synchronicity magazine. It is available (for free) at most bookstores, libraries, new age stores, and even at a lot of the local shopping malls close to the mall doors.

In the magazine you will find several Reiki Masters listed. Glance through their names and get a "feel" for them. Then give some of them a call and talk with them on the phone. This will give you another chance to further the determine if they "feel" right to you.

I think finding a Reiki Master is a very personal thing to do, and the person that may be right for one may or may not be right for the next. So really trust your intuition on this.

Now, that being said, if you are still having trouble finding someone, I can recommend 2 people for you. One my Reiki master, and another lady I met a short time ago (both in Calgary). Let me know if you want their names. Feel free to e-mail me if you need more info.

Things have been interesting. For the last little bit when I try and get a hold of people that have been suggested to me things have worked out that we just do not connect (ie. just answering machines or lossing the contact with the person). I know if I keep at it I will connect with the right person. I will look for the Synchronicity magazine and if that doens't help I will email you once more. Thanks again.

Isn't that interesting....Seems spirit may be leading you to just the right person to study with. Don't worry about the missed connections or contacts, when the right person is there, and you are ready you will connect. As they say "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear".

When I went through the listings in Synchronicity, I wrote down 3 that felt right to me. Then when I tried to contact them, one person I couldn't get on the phone, another person didn't return my call. But one did and she is who I went with.

As an interesting side note, my Reiki Master related a very interesting story on how she had asked Spirit to help her with getting some students coming in. Turns out that I was one of those people, and had called the very next day after she asked for help. I just love it when we can actually see how everything is connected.

Perhaps it would also help you out if you asked Spirit to help you connect with a Reiki master that would be the most appropriate for you.
